Healthcare Assistant Clinics

The clinics are held every morning starting at 8:30am and bookings will be taken at the reception desk or by telephone.

The role of the health care assistant is to assist the practice nurses in their clinics when seeing patients with the below duties:

  • Blood tests
  • New patient checks
  • Blood pressure checks
  • 24hr Blood pressure checks
  • Over 75 screening
  • COPD reviews
  • Foot checks
  • Diabetic reviews
  • Asthma
  • ECG
  • Weight management
  • Bradford beating diabetes (BBD)

You may also be referred to this clinic on the day by the doctor or nurse if they require tests to be done.

Patients must not attend the clinic for a blood test unless one has been requested by a doctor/nurse/hospital. Any forms which you may have been given need to be brought to the clinic with you when you attend.
